Day 1: Arrival in Addis Ababa
Arrival in Addis Ababa and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time make sightseeing in Addis Ababa including the national museum, Trinity cathedral church and Entoto hills
Day 2: Arbaminch
Transfer to airport to fly to Arbaminch. Meet the guide and vehicle at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
Day 3: Lake Chamo
After morning breakfast make a boat trip on lakeChamo where the longest and fattest crocodiles of Africa take a sunbath on the shores. Hippos hide themselves under the water and you will see also colonies of pelicans. After lunch visit the area of the Dorze people famous for constructing distinguished beehive shaped huts, terrace cultivation and the best weaving work of Ethiopia. Overnight at your hotel
Day 4: Turmi
This Morning after breakfast drive to Turmi through the fascinating uninterrupted lifestyle of Banna and Hamar communities Later a walk to the villages of the Hammar people to enjoy body decoration and wear quantities of colorful beads and clay hair buns with Ostrich feathers. Overnight at your hotel
Day 5: Excursion to Omorate
Enjoy excursion to Omorate to visit the Dasenach tribes across the Omo river by wooden local boat later come back to Turmi in the afternoon to visit the nearby hammer tribe village. Overnight at your hotel
Day 6: Drive to Jinka
Early morning excursion to Karo village for the visit of Karo tribes with their interesting body decorations and scarification and then drive to Jinka.
Day 7: Excursion to Mursi Village
The Mursis are the best known of the Omo peoples. The most famous tradition includes the lip plate worn by the women. The origin of this tradition is not known but the Mursi themselves consider it as something that makes them distinguish from the surrounding tribes.
Day 8: Drive back to Arbaminch
After breakfast drive back to Arbaminch en route visit Konso tribe’s village. The king village is very interesting and you will be meeting the king personally and he will also explain about Konso tribes social life system and all cultures.
Day 9: Drive to Awassa
After morning breakfast drive to Awassa Ethiopian town in the heart of the Great Rift Valley. It is the capital of the Southern Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Region- a melting pot of over 50 distinct tribes all with their own traditions, languages, dress, dance, and culture. The town is built on the shores of beautiful Lake Awassa and is over looked by Tabor Mountain. The abundance and variety of the lake’s birdlife is truly spectacular.
Day.10: Visit Awassa fish marker & drive to back to Addis Ababa
After morning breakfast drive to Awassa and visit the daily local fish market at lake Awassa. Lake Awassa is one potentially great for fishing and most of the local people life has been depending on the fishing from this lake. A lot of aquatic birds can be spotted here too. Then drive back to Addis.Evening fare well dinner at traditional restaurant.
End of the tour
