Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Kampala – Murchison Falls National Park
Start safari with an early breakfast at your hotel where you will be picked by our company guide to transfer to the park. En route visit to the Zziwa Rhino sanctuary for a guided nature walk to view rhinos at a closer range and a lunch stop in Masindi will refresh your day’s journey. Later proceed to the park with a hike to the top of the falls for a remarkable sight and sound of the Nile crashing through the chasm. Dinner and overnight

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Boat ride along the magnificent Murchison Falls
Today start off with an early breakfast and set out for a morning game drive on the southern banks of the river. On the drive, expect to see different wildlife including; Hartebeest, Lion, Bush bucks, Elephants, Jackal and many others. Return to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the late afternoon have a launch cruise to the bottom of the falls where the Nile is freed to flow with tranquility and peace. You will have a fantastic view of birds like kingfishers, goliath heron, African fish eagle, African jacana, piacpiac, rock pranticole and many others. Wildlife you may see include: hippo, crocodiles, buffalo, water buck, kob, giraffe and bush buck. Dinner and Overnight at your lodge (Day 1)

Day 3: Murchison Falls National Park – Kibale Forest National park
Have breakfast in the morning and depart for Kibale forest National Park with en route views of traditional homesteads and plantations as you traverse the verdant country side. Lunch en route, you will reach Fort portal in the shadows of the Rwenzori mountains where you will be enthralled by the hospitality of the Batooro people. Depending on time, you may visit the king’s palace and proceed in the view of the Rwenzori Mountains to reach Kibale National park. Proceed to your lodge for overnight and relaxation

Day 4: Chimps Tracking – Bigodi Swamp tour
Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel / lodge and head for briefing at Kanyanchu park headquarters about chimpanzee tracking. Proceed after briefing in search for the Chimpanzees while not avoiding sights of other primates like the Red, Black and white colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys plus a sight of some birds like the African pitas, Red-faced woodland warbler, Blue-headed sunbird and many more. Return to lodge for lunch and in the afternoon visit the Bigodi women’s project located at the wetland sanctuary office in Bigodi trading center. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation (Day 3)

Day 5: Kibale Forest National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park
Have an early morning tour to the crater lakes region. Glance at the snow Cap of Mount Rwenzori on a clear day as you proceed on your way to Queen Elizabeth NP reaching in time for lunch at Mweya lodge before embarking on an afternoon launch cruise along Kazinga channel. Dinner and overnight at accommodation

Day 6: Game Drive & Launch Cruise
Today you will have breakfast very early and head out for a morning game drive in the park following the Kasenyi trail where you may be rewarded with stunning views of savannah wildlife like Lions, Leopards, Giant Forest Hogs, Cape Buffaloes, Elephants, Water bucks, Uganda Kobs, Topi and Bush bucks and many more. After lunch, take a visit to the Katwe – Kamengo crater region known for its high population of wildlife and birds as well as the local community salt mining projects. You will observe and learn the local community’s lifestyle as well as enjoying wildlife views of savanna animals like antelopes, buffalos among others. L. Munyanyange is a perfect breeding ground for the lesser flamingos especially during the dry period of July and August. Return in the evening for dinner and overnight at (Day 5)

Day 7: Maramagambo Forest walk – Ishasha Sector
After your breakfast, visit Maramagambo forest for a nature walk in the forest. You will be fascinated by the views of primate and bird varieties in this forest as well as the bat caves that are residences for the huge pythons while the blue lake in the middle of the forest will leave you in awe. Return to the lodge for an early lunch and transfer to Ishasha for an afternoon game drive. Ishasha is known as the most alluring region for game drives in Uganda, if we are lucky we shall spot the tree climbing lions resting in the huge acacia and fig trees meditating upon their next prey. Dinner and Overnight at; Ishasha Wilderness Camp.

Day 8: Ishasha – Bwindi Forest National park
After breakfast, try your last luck for the tree climbing lions on a morning game drive in the Ishasha plains which will reward you with sights of other animals like several species of antelopes and buffaloes and later transfer to Bwindi Forest National park, reaching in the afternoon. Check in at accommodation of your choice for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Uganda Gorilla Trekking Adventure
Today wake up early for a quick breakfast and pack your lunch as you head out for briefing by the senior park ranger guide about gorilla tracking rules before you set off for gorilla tracking in the impenetrable forest. All travelers should be assembled at the briefing point by 8.00am. You need to carry packed lunch, drinking water, rain jacket and a walking stick will be provided. After briefing, enter the forest to track gorillas, the time taken to find the magnificent primates is unpredictable since it depends on where the gorillas will have spent the previous night. If time permits, take an afternoon community walk to any of the neighboring communities to learn their way of life before retiring for dinner at your lodge. Day 10: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Lake Mburo National Park
Check out of the lodge and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park with en route views of the magnificent Kabale hills adorned with terraces, reaching in Mbarara in time for lunch at Igongo cultural center as you enjoy the magnificent Ankole culture and have a chance to test some of the traditional dishes. Continue to the park,reaching in time for an afternoon boat ride on lake Mburo with prospects of seeing hippos and a variety of other wildlife quenching their thirst at the lake while the sweet melodies and splendid sights of birds like the king fishers, the rare shoe bill stock and the papyrus gonolek among others will crown your day. Day 11: Game Drive in Lake Mburo – Jinja – source of the Nile
Early breakfast and go for a game drive along any of the park’s several trails to enjoy the rich wildlife diversity including large herds of zebra, impala, gigantic eland, topis, wart hogs, buffalos and a variety of bird species like the grey plantain eater, Abyssinian horn bill, and the turacos. Return to your accommodation for a late breakfast and carry on to Kampala with an en route lunch at the Equator as you take photographs and observe the water experiment. Arrive in Kampala in the afternoon as you proceed to Jinja for the magnificent Uganda adventure experience. On your way if time allows, have a stopover at the Sezibwa falls-the cultural site well known for its spectacular falls. According to the local beliefs the river is known to have been born by humans. Visit the Mabira Forest, the largest remaining tropical forest in Central Uganda and then proceed to Jinja. You will have a brief drive through the historical Jinja town, if time allows, explore the source of the Nile by taking a boat ride to the source of the Nile, go for souvenir shopping from the gift shops. Dinner and overnight at your preferred accommodation.

Day 12: Jinja – Departure
After breakfast, go for a half day adventure of white water rafting. Enjoy the most thrilling white water rafting at different grade stages in the morning. The white water rafting begins with a comprehensive briefing and the fitting of life jackets and helmets. The rafting is done on an 18 kilometer stretch of the Nile River. The first few rapids are low grade (1,2) and give clients a sense of confidence. As the river meanders through beautiful scenery, the rafts are guided into the mighty challenges of the best “grade 5” rapids on the Nile. Eight major rapids are rafted plus lower graded runs to maximize the adrenaline rush of this adventure. After this, if you have enough time, you may go for bungee jumping and visit the source of the Nile in case you missed it on the previous day. Return to Kampala for your late transfer to the airport to catch up with your night flight
